Prateada Itápolis Armchair I 1930 – By Gregori Warchavchik

Gregori Warchavchik designed the Prateada Itápolis Armchair especially for the Modernist House on Rua Itápolis in São Paulo, which hosted the famous “Exhibition of a Modernist House” in 1930. Entirely made of wood but with a futuristic appearance, silvered like the light of the stars, the architect designed the details of the furniture, light fixtures, and door handles in his houses with the same lines, the same strength, and clarity found in their façades. These pieces of furniture, with their essential characteristics, were the first designed with this structure in all of South America.
