The Bola de Latão Chair, designed by Lina Bo Bardi in 1951 for her residence, the Casa de Vidro, is an iconic piece of Brazilian modernist design. Its structure is made of painted tubular iron, with a seat and backrest crafted from hand-stitched leather, tensioned by cords. The standout feature is the brass spheres positioned at the top of each front leg, giving the chair a distinctive and theatrical character. Originally, only six units were produced for use in the Casa de Vidro. Today, authorized reissues by ETEL Design, licensed by the Instituto Bardi, are available for purchase.
